About Radioway:
Way back in 1976 I started selling and servicing CB equipment in the back of my parents Country Store under the name of Charlies Electronics. I was only about 16 at the time. As life progressed, I was in and out of it several times over the years but never really got totally away from it. I soon obtained my Amateur Radio License (in 1978) and graduated from a Technical College with an Associates Degree in Electronics (with an emphasis on Radio Communications). Shortly thereafter I got my General Radiotelephone Certificate and so on and so on. In other words; I have always been an electronic nut!
For a long while my business was named CFM Communications and then other events happened and eventually I settled on RadioWay Electronics (just about the time the internet was really taking off). I have tried to quit this several times and have made this website primarily an informational stop on the web. Occasionally I will still have some items for sale. Yes I have been around long enough to know smoke and mirror tactics like "Super Tunes" and "Whack Packs". When it really comes down to it there is no substitute for a real electronics education and years of quality experience. "Self-Proclaimed" technical experts that have never been to school to learn the correct way to deal with components and radio systems are generally dangerous to your equipment and pocketbook! The best advice I can give anyone is to be forewarned and research your radio service shop. Don't buy into any ridiculous claims and gimmicks. Most quality radios are pretty well engineered as they come and don't need extra parts added or removed just to make them talk well!
